Bars Over Bars: From the Streets to the Studio

 Bars Over Bars is a premier creative intervention program designed to give youth a powerful alternative to the cycle of violence. We believe that every young person has a story—and if we give them the right tools, they can turn those "bars" of struggle into "bars" of music, business, and success.

We recently hosted CVI’s first-ever Juvenile Bars Over Bars Summit. We opened our doors to local youth for a life-changing day that included:

• The Ceremony: A powerful opening by Pastor Mo, setting the tone for peace and purpose.
• Community Break: Sharing a meal together to build brotherhood and trust.
• The Choice: Every participant was given the direct option to step away from the streets and enroll in one of our empowerment tracks.

We don’t just talk; we provide the hands-on skills needed to build a future. Our current program tracks include:

• 1-on-1 Mentorship: A judgment-free "Safe Space" where youth can talk frankly about their struggles, their lives, and their goals with mentors who understand.
• Music Production: Learn the art of sound. Students work with skilled producers to master the technical side of making music and digital media.
• Streetwear & Printing: Gain hands-on experience using a professional clothing print press. We teach the physical craft of creating high-quality apparel.
• Digital Entrepreneurship: We go beyond the press—teaching the blueprint for launching a brand, managing merchandise, and starting a successful online business.
